Adobe Dreamweaver
Adobe Dreamweaver is a web authoring tool that is used to create and edit different types of documents such as; HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Dreamweaver is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor and this means that the document appears in Dreamweaver as it will in web browser.
Adobe Flash
Adobe Flash can be used for a variety of different tasks such as; animation, web design. The Flash format but it can also be used to place video content on websites.
Flash is becoming more popular to be used to add videos to a webpage and is used by www.youtube.com.
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator is a drawing program that is used to create vector based designs.
When Adobe bought out Macromedia they stopped development of the Macromedia vector design software Macromedia Freehand.
Illustrator is the industry standard tool for drawing tools, colour controls and type tools.
Adobe InDesign
Adobe InDesign is page layout application that can be used to create publications and print media such as; posters, adverts.
As well as InDesign there are many other page layout applications such as; Adobe PageMaker, QuarkXpress.
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop is one of the, if not the most, powerful image manipulation applications.
It is the industry standard for the creation and manipulation of bitmap graphics. The software is so popular that the term ‘to Photoshop’ is associated with the manipulation of an image.
