Actionscript
Actionscript is the programming language that is used to create movies,games and applications within the Adobe Flash program.
Games created in flash using the actionscript programming language can then be embed into web pages and played by the user directly in their web browsers.
Ajax
Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) is a combination of the JavaScript and XML (Extensible Markup Language) in terms of the technologies that it uses.
AJAX can be used to update or change the information that is displayed on a webpage without the page needing to be refreshed.
ASP.NET
ASP.NET is the successor to ASP (Active Server Pages) and is part of the .NET framework.
ASP is a server-side scripting language and is it is used to enable the Internet server to execute scripts.
ASP.NET provides improved performance over ASP.
CSS
CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) is used in the creation of web pages. CSS is attached to a web page in what is known as a style sheet.
This style sheet can be used to change the many aspects of how the web page looks and works. It is good practice to use CSS combined with XHTML.
HTML
HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is the programming language that is used to create web pages which are displayed with the use of a web browser application.
There have been 4 major releases of the HTML programming language but more recently this is code is being replaced by the use of XHTML (Extensible HyperText Markup Language).
